Türkiye-Iraq relations and the development road project, the focus of Erdogan and Barzani’s meeting – Mehr News agency RCO News Agency
According to RCO News Agency, quoted by Anatolia News Agency, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Iraqi Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani discussed ways to expand relations between Ankara and Baghdad and the development road project during their meeting in Ankara.
This meeting took place in Beshtepe rally and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan was also present in this meeting.
In this meeting, Erdogan expressed hope for the successful holding of regional elections on October 20, and emphasized the importance of the development road project on the stability, peace and all-round development of the region as well as northern Iraq.
In this meeting, the Turkish president also stated that the military aggression of the Zionist regime is pushing the region towards a full-scale war.
Erdoğan also emphasized the importance of joint fight against terrorist groups and said that Türkiye will always be with the government and people of Iraq after this.
