France and England demanded an urgent meeting of the Security Council
The British Prime Minister said that France and England have demanded an urgent meeting of the UN Security Council to review the humanitarian situation in Gaza, and London is considering imposing sanctions against two radical Zionist ministers.
According to Isna, British Prime Minister Kerr Starmer said in response to when the humanitarian situation in Gaza will be discussed: “We are constantly talking about this with our partners. “This is an emergency and more aid must go to Gaza.”
According to Reuters News agency, Starmer also said that Britain is looking to sanction Israeli Finance Minister Betsalel Smotrich and Israeli Internal Security Minister Itamar Ben Gower for their comments about the conflict.
In the meantime, British Foreign Minister David Lemmy also announced in a statement that Tel Aviv must ensure that civilians in Gaza are protected and that the routes for the entry and delivery of humanitarian aid remain open, and that the UN meeting must address this issue.
He also said that Algeria has joined the request of England and France to hold an urgent meeting of the Security Council to review the humanitarian situation in Gaza.
Earlier, “David Cameron”, the former foreign minister of England, apparently wanted to sanction these 2 extreme Zionist ministers, before the defeat of the conservative party in the June elections.
Asked whether his government would sanction Smotrich and Ben Goyer for their comments, Starmer also said: “We are looking to sanction these two because they have made hateful comments.”
Smotrich previously came under heavy domestic and foreign criticism for comments that starving civilians in Gaza might be “justifiable,” and Ben Guerre for calling settler violence in the West Bank “heroes.”
The British prime minister added: “Israel must take all possible steps to prevent civilian casualties, give much more aid to Gaza and give UN humanitarian agents the ability to operate effectively.”
