Italy summoned the ambassador of the Zionist regime
Italy summoned the ambassador of the Zionist regime following the attack of the Zionist army on the UNIFIL forces in southern Lebanon and wounding them.
According to RCO News Agency, a government official announced that the reason for the summoning of the Zionist regime’s ambassador was the attack of the Zionist regime’s tanks on a group of soldiers of the United Nations peacekeeping forces in southern Lebanon (UNIFIL).
On Thursday evening, AFP quoted this source as saying: “About 10,000 UN peacekeeping forces are present in southern Lebanon. The firing of the Israeli tank against the positions of these forces left 2 wounded.”
In response to the attack of the Zionist regime on the UNIFIL forces, the French Ministry of Defense announced that Paris and Rome have called for a meeting between the European countries that help the UNIFIL forces.
These developments are while the United Nations peacekeeping forces in southern Lebanon (UNIFIL) announced on Thursday that its base located in Al Naqourah and its nearby bases were repeatedly targeted by the Zionist regime.
A source in the United Nations also announced in an interview with Al Jazeera News channel: Israeli forces fired at UNIFIL bases in three separate incidents in southern Lebanon in the past 24 hours.
