According to Mehr news agency, quoted by Al-Mayadin, the European Union foreign policy official, in response to the Zionist regime’s attack on the headquarters of the UN peacekeeping forces and the wounding of a number of these forces, said: The attack of the Israeli army on the headquarters of the UN peacekeeping forces in southern Lebanon is another example. “Joseph Borrell” continued his speech and added: “We condemn this unacceptable and unjustifiable act of Israel.”
He also emphasized the full support of the European Union for the UNIFIL forces and the mission assigned to them by the UN Security Council.
The spokesperson of the United Nations Peacekeeping Forces in Lebanon (UNIFIL) said in response to the attacks of the Zionist regime on the headquarters of these forces in southern Lebanon: UNIFIL forces were exposed to attacks by Israeli soldiers, as a result of which two of our soldiers were injured.
In an interview with Al-Jazeera, “Ann Darya Tennati”, the spokesperson of UNIFL, added: “It is likely that the Israeli attacks on UNIFL’s headquarters were intentional.” Our forces are there to maintain stability in Lebanon and we are committed to doing everything we can despite all the difficulties we face.
He clarified: We have decided to stay in our headquarters and positions unless the Security Council takes another decision.
