According to RCO News Agency, quoted by Sputnik, NATO intends to strengthen its military forces.
A German media outlet, citing some unreleased NATO documents, reported on Saturday that the NATO alliance is planning to create 49 more combat-ready brigades.
According to the report of this German media, these additional brigades will be formed with about 5,000 military personnel each, which will bring the total number of NATO units to 131 units.
The coalition is also planning to increase the capabilities of ground-based anti-aircraft units fivefold to 1,467, the report said.
Citing an unpublished NATO document, this German media considers it necessary to build and strengthen military power in line with the threat posed by Russia.
