Pentagon: We are not looking for the spread of war in the region
The spokesperson of the Pentagon says that America is not looking for the expansion of conflict and war in the region.
According to RCO News Agency, “Sabrina Singh”, the spokesperson of the US Department of Defense, said on Thursday evening that the US does not want to witness the spread of conflict in the region.
He also said that Washington is not looking for war with any group, organization or country in the West Asian region.
The Pentagon spokesman continued and talked about Iran’s “Wadah Sadeq 2” operation in response to the terrorist actions of the Zionist regime.
He said: “We are discussing the details of Israel’s response to Iran, but this does not mean Washington’s participation in it.”
In this regard, an American official told Reuters that the United States of Israel has not yet decided how to respond to Iran.
“We continue to consult with the Israelis about their response to Tuesday’s Iranian attack, and we understand that they are still deciding exactly what action they want to take,” he said.
The Islamic Republic of Iran has threatened that if the Zionist regime continues its evils, Tehran’s response will be more severe.
Iran’s representation in the United Nations also issued a statement warning third countries not to interfere in this conflict, otherwise they will be a legitimate target.
In the continuation of his press conference, Singh once again emphasized his support for the Zionist regime and said: “Our forces in the Middle East are ready if Israel asks for help.”
The Pentagon spokesman also pointed to the conflict between Hezbollah and the Zionist regime and said that there is no disagreement between the US Defense Secretary and the National Security Council about Israel’s attacks on Lebanon.
The ground conflict between the occupying forces and Hezbollah fighters continues while the Zionists have suffered heavy losses.
