The American election debate changed the opinion of only one percent of the people
Polls indicate that the recent election debate between the vice presidential candidates of the United States did not have a winner and only one percent of American voters changed their opinion after watching this debate.
According to RCO News Agency, the polls that were held immediately after the debate between JD Vance and Tim Walls, the candidates of the Republican and Democratic parties for the vice presidency of the United States, showed that the Republican politician appeared more confident and more prepared than his Democratic rival.
However, a joint poll by “CBS” and “YouGov” showed that according to 1,630 participants in this poll, Vance and Walls had the same performance in this election debate.
According to this poll, 42% of Americans believe that Vance, who ran as Donald Trump’s running mate, won the debate. His Democratic opponent, Walz, also performed better in the opinion of 41% of the participants in the poll and won the debate. Also, 17% of the participants said that both politicians had the same performance and none of them could defeat the other.
Unlike Trump’s live debate with Kamala Harris on Sept. 10, which was filled with Trump’s controversial and untrue remarks, 88 percent of viewers of the poll of vice presidential candidates said the tone of the debaters was “generally positive.”
74% of the participants in the survey believe that Walz’s statement was reasonable, not extreme. On the other hand, 65% of the participants express such an opinion about his Republican rival.
Walls and Vance’s approval ratings rose 7 percent and 9 percent, respectively, after the debate, according to a joint CBS-YouGov poll.
Also, according to the CNN poll conducted with 574 registered voters in the United States, the participants had a similar assessment of the performance of the two vice presidential contenders.
The results of this survey show that 51% of the debate viewers say that Vance performed better and 49% of them express this opinion about Walz. Meanwhile, before the debate, polls showed that 54 percent of Americans expect Walz to perform better.
Also, according to the CNN poll, 37% of participants said he was able to defend Trump’s policies well, while only 33% of participants rated Waltz’s defense of Harris favorably.
Additionally, 48 percent of CNN poll participants said they agree with Walz’s vision for America’s future. In contrast, only 39 percent of participants had the same opinion about Vance.
In terms of the effectiveness of this debate, it can be said that according to CNN’s survey, only 1% of Americans decided to change the candidate they supported in the November elections after watching the debate.
According to the Independent, national polls show that overall, Kamala Harris is 2.6 percentage points more popular than Donald Trump.
