England, America and Australia emphasize their commitment to the “Akos” security agreement.
The United Kingdom, the United States and Australia have pledged to continue the process of cooperation to strengthen military and security efforts, especially in the Indo-Pacific region, in reaffirming the ACOS defense partnership.
According to Isna, a statement was released after the meeting at the Royal Naval Historical College in London, with the presence of John Haley, Lloyd Austin and Richard Marles, the ministers of defense of the United Kingdom, the United States and Australia, which is considered as a review of the progress of the Akos treaty.
According to Anatolia News agency, the defense ministers of the three countries emphasized the sustainable nature of this cooperation in the midst of a rapidly evolving global security environment, as well as their joint commitment to maintaining the international rules-based order.
This project, which has had significant investments from all three countries, is very important for increasing defense capabilities. The United Kingdom has 5.3 billion dollars, the United States has 17.5 billion dollars, and Australia has 20.7 billion dollars.
The purpose of this funding is to build the necessary infrastructure, skilled workforce and supply chain to support the long-term success of the program.
The defense ministers of these three countries also emphasized the commitment of their countries to the highest standards of non-proliferation of nuclear weapons.
The trilateral AUCOS agreement between Australia, the UK and the US, established in 2021, is the cornerstone of the three countries’ strategy to ensure a peaceful, secure and stable “free and open Indo-Pacific” region.
