According to RCO News Agency, citing Al Jazeera, despite some reports about the imminent announcement of a temporary ceasefire between Lebanon’s Hezbollah and the Zionist regime, the army of this regime announced that it will continue to attack Hezbollah’s military capabilities and infrastructure.
The Israeli army has launched its most intense and extensive attack on Lebanon since last Monday. These attacks have resulted in the martyrdom of more than 600 people, including women and children, and the wounding of more than 2,500 people. According to official statistics, it is estimated that nearly 400,000 people have migrated from the affected areas.
A few hours ago, the Zionist media “Israel Hum” and “Yediot Aharonot” quoted American officials and claimed that a temporary ceasefire agreement between Lebanon’s Hezbollah and the Zionist regime will be announced in a few hours.
According to these American officials, the temporary ceasefire will last for 21 days, and during this period, the parties are supposed to continue negotiations to reach a final agreement for the return of the residents of border areas in Lebanon and occupied Palestine to their homes.
The Hebrew-language newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth, citing American officials, emphasized that the temporary ceasefire between Hezbollah and the Zionist regime will be implemented in a few hours.
At the same time, the American “CNN” network, quoting an informed source, stated that the effort to reach a ceasefire agreement in Lebanon is serious and important for the Biden government.
Channel 12 of the Zionist regime, quoting a source in Netanyahu’s office, emphasized that the green light for a temporary ceasefire has been shown to start negotiations.
Israeli sources also claimed that negotiations will be held in these 21 days to reach a prisoner exchange agreement with the resistance in Gaza.
In a speech at the Security Council meeting yesterday, French Foreign Minister Stephane Sejournay announced that today’s situation in Lebanon could reach a point of no return. Israeli attacks have left many victims in Lebanon.
Stephan Sejourneh added: “We are cooperating with the United States for a temporary ceasefire in Lebanon for 21 days to allow negotiations.” The proposed American-French plan for a temporary ceasefire in Lebanon will be published soon; I ask the conflicting parties to accept the ceasefire without delay.
