Banning the use of the words “genocide” and “apartheid” at the English Labor Party conference
The British Labor Party has banned the use of the words “genocide” and “apartheid”, which refer to the actions of the Zionist regime against the Palestinians, in the meeting brochures related to the party’s annual conference in Liverpool.
According to Isna, the conference began with the presence of more than 15,000 supporters of Palestine throughout the city of Liverpool, and they expressed their opposition to the sale of arms by London to the Zionist regime.
According to the Middle East Eye News site, Kim Johnson, a member of the British Labor Party, appeared in the crowd of supporters of Palestine, but the participants greeted him with the slogan “Get lost from the Labor Party.”
The Palestine Solidarity Campaign also revealed that the managers and planners of the British Labor Party did not allow the words “genocide” and “apartheid” to be used in brochures related to a meeting on the sidelines of this conference, which is scheduled to be held today (Monday).
In this meeting, members of pro-Palestinian groups are present along with several members of the Labor Party, but words and expressions such as “justice for Palestine”, “end of genocide” and “end of apartheid” should not be used in this meeting.
Ben Jamal, the director of the Palestine Solidarity Campaign, also said: “I think what is clear is the failure of the party leadership to address the main causes of the current violence that is happening in Palestine. He says he wants the violence to end, he says he wants a ceasefire, but in fact it is not. It does not accept that Israel has committed the crime of apartheid, as ruled by the International Court of Justice. Israel is now being tried at the International Court of Justice, which has accepted the admissibility of South Africa’s case that Israel committed genocide.
He continued: The Labor Party still wants to treat Israel normally because Israel is an important ally.
Another event that is scheduled to be held today is titled “New Defense Era” and will be held by Northrop Grumman. This company supplies weapons and missile systems to the Israeli army.
In early September, the ruling Labor Party suspended 30 out of 350 weapons export licenses to the Zionist regime, but many members of the party want more suspensions, and in a recent poll, three-fourths of the Labor Party members want a complete ban on sending arms to the Zionist regime.
