According to RCO News Agency, quoted by Reuters, according to the announcement of the military government of Myanmar, the number of victims of the deadly typhoon “Yagi” in this country has reached 384 people.
Typhoon “Yagi” has hit northern Vietnam, Laos, Thailand and Myanmar since the 1st of last week, causing floods and landslides and killing hundreds of people throughout the affected areas.
According to the intelligence unit of Myanmar’s coup plotters, 384 people died in this country and 89 people are still missing. The 2021 military coup and more than three years of war and conflict in Myanmar have led to the displacement of millions of people in this country, and the recent flood has doubled their suffering.
Last week, Myanmar’s coup plotters called for foreign aid to deal with this crisis in a rare move. The United Nations has warned that 887,000 people have been affected by Cyclone Yagi in Myanmar.
