The Turkish army is reviewing the security of its communication devices
The Turkish army is reviewing the security of its communication devices after the pager and walkie-talkie explosions in Lebanon.
According to Isna, an official of the Turkish Defense Ministry said on Thursday that Turkey is reviewing its measures to secure the means of communication used by the country’s armed forces after the deadly explosions in Lebanon.
The Turkish government has blamed the Zionist regime for killing 37 people and injuring thousands of people in Lebanon following the explosion of communication devices, and Foreign Minister Hakan Feiden said: “The escalation of tension in the region is worrying. We see Israel step by step increasing its attacks towards Lebanon. We have reached a point where these operations by Israel have become increasingly provocative.
A Turkish official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the Turkish military exclusively uses domestically produced equipment, but Ankara has additional control mechanisms if a third party is involved in the procurement or production of the equipment, Reuters reported.
This person added: We, as the Ministry of Defense, are conducting the necessary investigations regarding this incident.
