The silence of the White House about the role of the Zionist regime in the explosions in Lebanon
White House National Security Communications Advisor John Kirby said that he will not engage in “speculation” about the responsibility of the Zionist regime for the deadly explosions in Lebanon.
According to RCO News Agency, in his press conference on Wednesday, John Kirby, referring to the developments in Lebanon and the occurrence of deadly explosions in equipment such as wireless, pitch and electronic devices, tried not to hold the Zionist regime responsible and said: “I do not intend to engage in assumptions or speculations in “What happened or didn’t happen or who might be responsible.”
Kirby’s comments were in response to a reporter’s question asking whether the Israeli regime’s actions amount to an escalation of tensions and whether Tel Aviv is doing what the United States has asked all parties involved to avoid.
“I simply cannot address the events of the last few days in any level of detail, in any way,” Kirby added.
These statements by Kirby, who tries to show the United States free from the decisions of the Zionist regime, are made in a situation where before the implementation of pager blasting operations, the Minister of War of the Zionist regime had informed him of these developments in a phone call with the head of the Pentagon. This is due to the fact that since the beginning of the Gaza war on October 7, 2023, Washington has remained the biggest financial and arms supporter of this regime and defends its actions against Hamas and Hezbollah.
According to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, at least 12 people, including 2 children, were killed and more than 2,800 injured in Lebanon as a result of a massive explosion of pagers on Tuesday. The second wave of mass explosion of communication devices on Wednesday killed at least 20 people and injured nearly 450 others. These explosions occurred by embedding explosives in equipment purchased from abroad that arrived in Lebanon a few months ago.
The Lebanese government and the Lebanese Hezbollah movement blamed the Zionist regime for these explosions, and the Hebrew media described these deadly terrorist attacks as a joint operation of the Zionist security and intelligence institutions.
“There is a diplomatic path forward in the Middle East and Lebanon”
The White House national security communications adviser also said Wednesday that the United States still believes there is a diplomatic path forward to resolve issues in West Asia, particularly in Lebanon, despite the recent violence.
“All I’m saying is we want to see an end to the war, and everything we’ve done from the beginning has been designed to prevent an escalation,” Kirby told reporters. “For example, we still believe there is a diplomatic path forward, especially in Lebanon.”
Since the beginning of the Gaza war, Lebanon’s Hezbollah resistance was the first party that, with the support of the Palestinian nation, began to carry out operations against the north of the occupied territories, and caused the Zionists to vacate the settlements out of fear, and ghost cities were created in some parts of the north. Recently, the Zionist regime made the return of the Zionists to the north part of the goals of the war, and after that, the terrible explosions of the communication devices of the Hezbollah resistance began, and it seems that the goal of the Zionists is to force the resistance to accept a ceasefire. At the same time, the Zionist media reported that the forces of the Zionist regime moved towards the northern border due to the fear of Hezbollah’s operations, and there is speculation about the possibility of an operation.
Expressing ignorance of America’s communication with Japan and Taiwan about Lebanon explosions
On the other hand, the National Security Communications Advisor of the White House said that he is not aware of any communication with Japanese or Taiwanese counterparts regarding the Lebanon explosions.
According to Sputnik, Kirby said during a press conference: “I am not aware of such a connection.”
Kirby’s comments came in response to a reporter’s question about whether the White House had contacted Japanese and Taiwanese counterparts. Previously, there were reports about the construction of communication devices involved in the Lebanon explosions in Japan and Taiwan. The Taiwanese company says that it had given the right to produce pagers with its own brand to a company in Budapest, that Hungarian company denies any involvement in the production of these pagers. The name of the Japanese company was also mentioned after the discussion of the explosion in the radios of the resistance forces, and this company has announced the beginning of the investigation.
