Approval of the resolution to end Israeli occupation in the United Nations
The United Nations General Assembly today (Wednesday) approved the resolution presented by Palestine to oblige the Zionist regime to implement international laws.
According to RCO News Agency, the UN General Assembly passed a resolution asking the Zionist regime to “end its illegal presence in the Palestinian territories within one year”.
This resolution was approved with 124 positive votes against 14 negative votes and 43 abstentions.
This resolution strongly condemns the disregard of international obligations by the Zionist regime and emphasizes that such aggressive actions threaten regional and international peace and security.
The Palestinians want the UN member states to support their freedom by issuing a resolution to end the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian lands within one year.
Votes taken in the General Assembly meeting
This resolution referred to the advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice, which was issued at the request of the General Assembly and emphasized that the occupation of the Palestinian territories by the Zionist regime since 1967 is illegal.
The highest judicial body affiliated to the United Nations announced: Israel is required to end its illegal presence in the occupied Palestinian territories as soon as possible.
Arab countries recently requested a special session of the General Assembly a few days before the presence of dozens of presidents and prime ministers in New York to participate in the opening of the annual session of the General Assembly.
