Paris: We support the independence and territorial integrity of Armenia
Before his visit to Armenia, the French Foreign Minister supported the country’s independence and territorial integrity.
According to RCO News Agency, French Foreign Minister Stephane Sejournay supported the independence of this country on Saturday and on the eve of his visit to Armenia.
Sejourneh, who is scheduled to visit Armenia from September 12 to 16 (25 to 26 Shahrivar), before his trip, “supported the territorial integrity and independence of Armenia and the aspirations of Yerevan to establish peace”.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of France said in a video message: “France stands by its historical partner and friendly country, Armenia, and our support for its independence, territorial integrity, and desire for peace is unwavering.”
He added: We have close cooperation with Armenia and we are strengthening it further. We support the development of Armenia’s strategic infrastructure in order to enable its resilience. We also cooperate in the defense sector. We also support Armenian supporters with the French-Armenian initiative.
The military cooperation between Armenia and France has faced severe criticism from the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Sejourne is also going to visit Moldova.
He added that both Armenia and Moldova “have chosen the path of democracy and independence and a path towards Europe, which they have faced with unacceptable destabilization and pressure.”
