Poland: The West will strengthen Ukraine’s air defense – Mehr News agency RCO News Agency
According to Mehr news agency, quoted by Reuters, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said that Western governments are considering plans to strengthen air defense support to Ukraine.
The Prime Minister of Poland announced these statements after meeting with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken in Warsaw.
Tusk told reporters that it is in the interest of Poland’s security for Ukraine to be as well equipped as possible during the war and to be able to effectively defend its airspace, because this will also protect Poland’s airspace.
The Polish Prime Minister said that the solidarity of the West in this issue is increasingly significant and we can expect more support for Ukraine from our allies and the entire Western world.
Kiev has long asked its Western backers to allow attacks using Western long-range weapons on Russian soil. According to Ukraine’s claim, the country’s inability to attack targets deep in Russia with Western weapons hinders its progress on the battlefield.
