Ryabkov: America should not interfere in Iran-Russia relations
The deputy foreign minister of Russia stated that the US should not interfere in the technical-military affairs of Russia and Iran and said: “Cooperation between Moscow and Tehran does not affect the security of third countries.”
According to RCO News Agency, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov told reporters on Saturday: “Cooperation between Russia and Iran has been put to the test over time.” This cooperation does not include elements in violation of international requirements or does not have a negative impact on regional security or balance.
According to the Sputnik News agency, the senior Russian diplomat said that the two countries have deep cooperation in many areas, including economy, politics and transportation.
The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia continued: “There is also technical-military cooperation between Iran and Russia.” No one denies this. But it is not the job of the United States to interfere in other people’s affairs. They should take care of their problems.”
Referring to the West’s accusations about sending Iranian missiles to this country, Ryabkov said on Thursday that “credible evidence has been presented many times that shows that such cooperation does not exist.”
He also said: If the Americans still want to export some Iranian goods to Russia, this is their problem. Time and again, credible evidence has been presented to show that such cooperation does not exist. Malicious fabrications are basically all we see from Washington about our politics and our interactions with other countries.
Ryabkov also answered the question of other journalists and said that Russia will respond seriously to the lifting of restrictions by the United States and England on the use of long-range weapons by Ukraine deep in Russian territory.
He noted: “Vladimir Putin, the president of Russia, has said everything about this. There is such a decision, all kinds of weapons have been sent to Ukraine, so we are ready for anything. “Our response to Ukraine if such weapons are used against Russian soil will be very serious.”
Ryabkov noted, the West is underestimating the danger of playing this game.
This official in the Russian Foreign Ministry also said that if the United States deploys medium-range missiles in Japan, Moscow will also have a comprehensive response and implement technical-military measures in this regard.
He also said: “These words are rumors for now, but if this happens, they will receive a comprehensive military-technical response.” “We have given them many opportunities to prevent this escalation, and currently Russia’s legal deadline for deploying the relevant systems remains in effect.”
The Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia also continued: “The lack of alternatives to Russia’s response, including a material, military and military-technical response, should be clear to those who continue to play zero-sum games in Washington, Tokyo and other countries.”
