According to RCO News Agency, quoted by Sputnik, “Maria Zakharova”, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, reacted to the recent statement of the Federal Security Service of this country regarding the actions of British diplomats on Russian soil.

In an interview with Sputnik, the spokesperson of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that the British Embassy has exceeded the limits specified by the Vienna Convention.

Zakharova further stated that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia fully confirms the assessments of the Russian Federal Security Service regarding the activities of British diplomats, which were carried out with the aim of harming the Russian nation.

It should be noted that a little earlier, the Federal Security Service of Russia issued a statement announcing that it had obtained documents that indicate London’s coordination to intensify the international military and political situation against Moscow.

The Federal Security Service of Russia stated that the discovered facts indicate the reasons on the basis of which it is determined that the British diplomats sent by the Department of Eastern Europe and Central Asia of the British Foreign Office to Moscow are considered a threat to the security of Russia.

The Federal Security Service of Russia emphasized that, based on these reasons, it revokes the credentials of 6 official employees of the political department of the British Embassy in Russia; Because it has been determined through their behavior that these 6 diplomats are collecting intelligence data for their respective countries.
