According to RCO News Agency, citing Rashatoudi, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced in a meeting with the representatives and security officials of the “BRICS” countries that “BRICS is forming a council to combat money laundering and terrorist financing.”

Putin also added: BRICS has gained significant experience in responding to security challenges, including cyber crimes and fighting terrorism. During this year, Russia’s activities in the framework of its presidency of BRICS have been focused on integrating the new members of this group as quickly as possible.
A few hours ago, during the security meeting of the BRICS member states in St. Petersburg, the Russian president welcomed the representatives of this group with high-ranking security officials.
The 14th two-day meeting of BRICS representatives started yesterday under the chairmanship of Sergei Shoigu, the secretary of the Russian Security Council. Since the beginning of this year, Moscow has held the rotating presidency of this group.
Putin met and welcomed the officials of the member states in the “Marble Hall” of the “Konstantinovsky” Palace in St. Petersburg. Tass wrote that Putin’s bilateral talks with some BRICS representatives are likely.

Ali Akbar Ahmadian, representative of the Supreme Leader and Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, is present in this meeting on behalf of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
In addition to the meeting of the BRICS members, a joint meeting between the representatives of the BRICS member countries and the high-level security representatives of some southern countries, including Indonesia, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Serbia, Thailand, Belarus, Vietnam, Venezuela, Uzbekistan, Nicaragua, Cuba, the Republic of Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Mauritania and Laos will be held.
On the sidelines of these 2 meetings, Ahmadiyan will have separate meetings with some of his counterparts.
The Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of our country will discuss the most important developments in the international region and bilateral relations in the political, security and economic fields, and the considerations of the Islamic Republic of Iran regarding corridors, energy, etc.
