The Russian Aerospace and Defense Industries Corporation announced today that it has delivered Sukhoi-57 and Sukhoi-35-S fighters to the country’s army.
According to Isna, in the midst of Russia’s increasing advances on the eastern front of Ukraine, the Russian Aerospace and Defense Industries (UAC) company announced in a statement: “A new batch of new Sukhoi-57 and Sukhoi-35-S fighters has been delivered to the Air Force. “Russia has been delivered.”
The UAC press service stated in another part of its statement: “The fifth generation fighters were accepted by the technical staff, passed a full cycle of workshop tests and were tested in various operational modes by pilots of the Russian Ministry of Defense. “The fighters flew to their home airport.”
According to “Vladimir Artyakov”, the first vice president of “Rostek”, the fighters transferred to the Russian army are distinguished by their high flying ability and technical characteristics, and the pilots of the Russian Air Force appreciate these changes.
Artyakov also said that the next shipments of Sukhoi-57 fighters are being prepared.
On the other hand, Yuriy Sliosar, CEO of UAC, said in a statement: “The number of fifth-generation fighters entering the Russian Aerospace Forces is increasing every year. “Today, the fifth-generation Sukhoi-57 series of aircraft is the most modern front-line aviation aircraft in Russia.”
The first deputy of Rostec also noted that they plan to expand the production of Sukhoi-57, in this regard, the company has started the construction of an additional workshop where the systems of these fighters will be tested.
The Sukhoi-57 is a Russian fifth-generation multirole fighter aircraft developed by Sukhoi. This fighter is designed to destroy all types of air, ground and surface targets, disable enemy headquarters, command posts and command and control systems. This aircraft has supersonic speed, internal weapons, radar-absorbing coating and the latest internal equipment and has been mass-produced since 2019 at the “Komsomolsk” aviation factory.
