Blinken: I spoke with Ukrainian officials about attacking Russia with long-range weapons
US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said on Wednesday that he had a discussion with President Volodymyr Zelenskyi and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiha about attacks on Russian territory using long-range weapons.
According to Isna, Blinken said at a News conference in Kiev: “We talked about long-range attacks. We also talked about other issues. “I’m going to go back to Washington and brief the president on what I heard.”
“Michael McCall,” the chairman of the foreign relations committee of the US House of Representatives, said earlier that Blinken will tell the Kiev authorities during his trip to Ukraine that they will be allowed to use ATACMS long-range missiles to attack Russian territory.
So far, the United States has prohibited Ukraine from using Atcoms missiles to attack Russian territory. These missiles have a range of about 200 miles. Therefore, England has not allowed Ukraine to use the cruise missiles donated by “Storm Shedo” to attack targets on Russian soil.
During his press conference with Lemmy in London on Tuesday, Blinken indicated that the Biden administration was willing to allow Russia to use Atcoms missiles.
