Signing of a tripartite memorandum of understanding between Türkiye, the Republic of Azerbaijan and Georgia
The Ministry of Defense of Türkiye announced that the defense ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Türkiye and Georgia signed a tripartite memorandum of understanding.
According to RCO News Agency, the Ministry of Defense of Turkey has published information in this regard that the meeting of Colonel Zakir Hasanov, Yashar Güler and Irakli Chikvani, Ministers of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Turkey and Georgia, was held in Batumi, Georgia.
According to the APA News agency, it was recalled in this meeting that for centuries the people of these three countries have good neighborliness and good friendship with each other, and even today multilateral relations between the heads of the three countries are developing.
In the meeting of the defense ministers of these 3 countries, it was also stated that cooperation based on mutual trust is of great importance to ensure a good future and people’s well-being.
In this tripartite meeting, the importance of joint efforts in dealing with the challenges of the modern era, the factors that may threaten the security of the region, and the mutual implementation of activities in this field were emphasized.
The defense ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey also emphasized the importance of expanding the scope of trilateral and bilateral joint exercises and exchanging mutual experiences.
Also, in this meeting, it was confidently emphasized that the development of tripartite cooperation in the field of defense will help not only the countries, but also the establishment of peace, stability and sustainable security in the region.
