Putin’s message to the leader of North Korea
On the occasion of the 76th anniversary of the establishment of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated the North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and noted that the relations between the two countries are at a high level.

The Russian President expressed confidence that through joint efforts, the countries will continue to strengthen their comprehensive strategic partnership.
On the other hand, Dmitry Medvedev, head of the United Russia Party and vice-chairman of the Russian Security Council, sent a congratulatory message to Kim Jong-un.
According to Sputnik, the message of the former Russian president reads: “Dear friend Kim Jong Un, please accept my sincere congratulations on the occasion of the founding day of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.” To you, dear comrade Kim Jong Un, I wish health and new successes and peace and prosperity for the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.”
Medvedev added that under Kim’s leadership, the country “continually follows the chosen path in the face of unprecedented pressure from destructive forces” and continues to strengthen its sovereignty and independence. He also noted that the interaction between United Russia and the Workers’ Party of Korea is “an important component of the comprehensive strategic partnership between Moscow and Pyongyang.”
