Stoltenberg: China should stop supporting Russia
In a speech, the Secretary General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) claimed that Beijing’s aid to Moscow was an effective factor in the continuation of the war in Ukraine and asked China to stop supporting Russia.
According to RCO News Agency, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg claimed in an interview with reporters in Oslo: “China has become a decisive facilitator for Russia’s war against Ukraine. “China is the country that makes possible the production of many of the weapons used by Russia.”
Stoltenberg accused China of inciting the war in Ukraine and claimed that Beijing will damage its interests and reputation with this policy.
“I want China to stop supporting Russia’s illegal war,” NATO Secretary General said.
China has called such claims by the NATO Secretary General as biased and malicious.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky also said in July that China had an “unrestricted” partnership with Russia, and he does not want Beijing to mediate to end the war in Ukraine, but he hopes for more pressure from Russia on China to end this war.
NATO Secretary General also stated that Ukraine is going through difficult times and asked NATO members to continue supporting this country in the war with Russia.
Stoltenberg admitted that Ukraine is at a difficult point in the war and asked the members of this military alliance to provide more support to Kiev.
