Continued restrictions and efforts to deal with polio in Gaza – Mehr News agency RCO News Agency
According to RCO News Agency, quoted by Al Jazeera, despite the escalation of the Zionist regime’s brutality in Gaza in recent days, the officials of the World Health Organization and other humanitarian organizations are trying to implement the general vaccination campaign against polio in this area.
Based on this, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs announced the progress in the process of vaccination of Palestinian children under 10 years old in Gaza and the West Bank.
This report states: The second phase of the polio vaccination campaign has started in southern Gaza, and 340,000 children are expected to receive the vaccine within four days.
This report adds: Due to the lack of sufficient medical facilities in Gaza, 12,000 sick and injured Palestinians need to be urgently sent outside of this strip in order to receive medical services.
This UN-affiliated organization once again called for the establishment of a ceasefire in Gaza in order to provide better services to the victims and also for the massive influx of humanitarian aid to this strip.
