Canada, Germany and the Netherlands announced new arms aid to Ukraine
Western allies of Ukraine have announced new military aid to the country, which is not doing well in the war with Russia.
According to RCO News Agency, following the flow of military aid from the western allies to Ukraine, the Canadian government announced that it will provide more than 80,000 rocket engines and 1,300 warheads to Kiev.
The Ministry of Defense of Canada announced in a statement today: “Bill Blair (Canada’s Minister of Defense) announced that Canada will provide Ukraine with 80,840 CRV-7 missile engines and 1,300 warheads. These follow the initial delivery of 2,160 CRV-7 rocket engines as promised earlier this year. “These 80,840 rocket engines are being prepared for shipment to Poland and will arrive in the coming months.”
According to the statement of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, these rocket engines were previously part of a defunct military depot under the management of the Canadian Air Force.
According to “Sputnik” News agency, on the other hand, Canada will also provide Kiev with 970 surplus C6 rounds and 10,500 9mm Colts from its military warehouses.
Canada’s newly announced aid to Ukraine also includes decommissioned 29 M113 and 64 Coyote personnel carriers previously used by the Canadian military. These military surplus vehicles of the Canadian army have been repurposed or used by Ukraine to supply spare parts.
Today, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius also announced that Berlin planned to give 77 more Leopard tanks of the 1A5 model to Ukraine in cooperation with Denmark and the Netherlands.
Pistorius said in a press conference at the Ramstein Air Base in Germany: “Germany has so far given 58 Leopard 1A5 tanks to Ukraine within the framework of a joint project with Denmark. “In partnership with Denmark and the Netherlands, 77 more 1A5 tanks are to be given to Ukraine as soon as possible.”
The Dutch Ministry of Defense announced today that the Netherlands will provide air-to-air missiles for F-16 fighter jets and repair materials to Ukraine. The ministry announced on its social networks: Today, the Minister of Defense announced that the Netherlands will supply the necessary materials for the maintenance of Ukrainian F-16s. To protect its airspace, Ukraine will also receive air-to-air missiles.
These new help from the western allies for Ukraine are announced while the country’s army recently suffered heavy blows from Russia, including the attack on important military buildings and installations in the cities of Lviv and Poltava, and the situation in the eastern axes of Ukraine is good against the continuation of the army’s advances. Russia does not.
Moscow has repeatedly warned NATO that the members of this alliance are directly interfering in the war and disrupting the peace process with the aid they send to Kiev.
