Medvedev: The war in Ukraine caused us to be cold-hearted in the drone war
The former president of Russia said, as a result of its experiences from the war in Ukraine, this country has become a leading country in the world in the field of drone warfare.
According to RCO News Agency, “Dmitry Medvedev”, the deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council and the former president of this country, said that the soldiers of the Russian army, while participating in the war in Ukraine, have excelled in the field of using drones and have found a unique position.
According to “Tass” News agency, Medvedev said: “It is clear that we have strengthened significantly in this area. Due to recent events, Russia has become the top country in the field of drones, and this is an undeniable fact. These skills will serve us well.”
Medvedev said that before the Russian military’s “special military operations” in Ukraine, no one had any idea that the use of drones would one day become so widespread.
This Russian politician said: “War brings with it many changes, and things that were not paid attention to before have now gained a dominant position and changed the nature of war. “It was impossible to predict the current situation despite the fact that drones have been in use for some time.”
The legendary Katyusha rocket launchers and T-34 tanks also appeared in World War II, Medvedev continued.
“In other words, the nature and tactics and even strategies of war have changed under the influence of technological advances,” he noted.
Medvedev believes that when the war stops, Russia will be in a good position to benefit from its knowledge in this field.
