Zelensky: We need new energy in the government

According to Isna, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Wednesday that Ukraine needs “new energy” and this is the reason for his decision to make extensive changes in the government.

A total of 6 ministers, including Dmytro Kolba, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, have submitted their resignations in the last 2 days, and the Ukrainian Parliament has accepted the resignations of four people so far.

Earlier, Ukrainian sources reported that Olha Stefanyshina, the Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, has also submitted her resignation to the Ukrainian Parliament.

Parliament is expected to consider the resignation of Ukraine’s foreign minister on Thursday, MPs said.

After Zelensky, Kolba, 43, was Ukraine’s best-known figure abroad, meeting with leaders around the world and lobbying for military and political support in fluent English. Without him, Ukraine’s diplomatic hole will widen.

Ukraine’s foreign policy will not change

On Wednesday, Zelensky is expected to announce his candidate for the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, and Andriy Sibiha, the first deputy minister of foreign affairs, is among the leading candidates.

According to Reuters, the next few months are key for Zelensky as he seeks to win more support from the West and regain the initiative in the war with Russia.

Later this month, Zelensky will visit America and present his “victory plan” to US President Joe Biden.

Zelensky’s attempt to gain more support comes as Russian forces advance in eastern Ukraine.

In recent weeks, Moscow has intensified its drone and missile attacks against Ukrainian military positions.

On Tuesday, at least 50 Ukrainian soldiers were killed by Russia when two missiles hit the city of Poltava.
