Slovenia: The Security Council’s patience with the Gaza war has run out – Mehr News agency RCO News Agency
According to the report of Mehr news agency, quoted by Al Jazeera, the excesses of the Zionist regime in the Gaza peace talks finally brought these talks to a dead end and prevented the establishment of a ceasefire in this strip and the exchange of prisoners between the parties. This issue has brought widespread international criticism.
Based on this, Slovenia, the rotating presidency of the UN Security Council, announced in September: 15 members of this council are expected to take action in this field if the parties do not reach a peace agreement.
Samuel Zebogar, the ambassador of Slovenia to the United Nations, emphasized in this regard: I think that patience is no longer allowed in this field. Either the war in Gaza will witness the establishment of a ceasefire, or the Security Council will take appropriate action in this regard.
Referring to the 3-month delay of the Security Council for the implementation of the Council’s resolution on the Gaza war, he pointed out that the Security Council has many tools at its disposal.
