England: “humanitarian concerns” are the reason for stopping the sale of arms to Israel! – Mehr News agency RCO News Agency
According to Mehr news agency, quoted by Al Jazeera, after 11 months have passed since the genocide of the Palestinian people in Gaza and the increase of public protests in different parts of the world, the British government claimed that one of the reasons for suspending some arms sales to the Zionist regime is “humanitarian concerns and mistreatment of “Palestinian prisoners”.
On Monday, Britain announced it was suspending arms licenses to Tel Aviv over “concerns that they could be used to commit serious violations of international human rights.”
British Foreign Secretary David Lammy announced in front of members of parliament that London has suspended about 30 out of 350 licenses for the sale of arms to the Zionist regime.
Lammy said the decision was made after “observing the clear risk of British arms export licenses being used to commit serious violations of international human rights”.
He added that this suspension does not mean a complete embargo on arms exports to the Zionist regime and does not include the components of the F-35 aircraft and will not affect the security of this regime.
