According to RCO News Agency, quoted by Euronews, the Austrian government has decided to deport Afghan nationals with criminal records.
The Austrian Federal Office for Migration and Asylum announced on Sunday that due to the change in the security situation in this country, the deportation of Afghan nationals is allowed on a case-by-case basis.
Austria has said that it plans to start repatriating Afghan nationals with criminal records.
Germany also deported 28 convicted Afghan criminals on Friday. This is the first time since the return of the Taliban to power in Afghanistan in 2021 that the citizens of this country are deported from Germany.
The government of Vienna has announced that it intends to cooperate closely with the government of Berlin in the field of deportation of Afghan nationals.
