Allocation of 800 million US dollars for the reconstruction of Ukraine’s energy sector
The first deputy prime minister of Ukraine said that the country is going to receive 800 million dollars from the United States for “repair and reconstruction of damaged energy infrastructure”.
According to RCO News Agency, “Yulia Suridenko”, the first deputy prime minister of Ukraine, announced this issue on Saturday during her visit to Washington and said: “This budget is for the necessary equipment for the urgent repairs of the Ukrainian electricity facilities, which were severely damaged due to 2 years of Russian airstrikes. has seen, it will be assigned.”
The online newspaper “Kiev Independent” quoted the first deputy prime minister of Ukraine as saying: “The United States will donate 800 million dollars to us for the repair and reconstruction of damaged energy infrastructures in Ukraine.”
This Ukrainian media reported: “Russia has repeatedly carried out large-scale attacks on Ukraine’s energy network in order to cripple the country’s ability.” These attacks began in the fall and winter of 2022-2023 and resumed in the spring of 2024.”
Andriy Yermak, the head of the office of the President of Ukraine, also wrote in the Telegram messenger: “Ukraine’s energy infrastructure needs urgent reconstruction, and in this regard, our American partners play an important role.”
