Vandalism in Venezuela’s power grid/many areas were blacked out – Mehr News agency RCO News Agency
According to Mehr news agency, citing Sputnik, most of Venezuela’s regions were blacked out due to power outages.
Venezuela’s Minister of Communications and Information, Freddie Nunes, said: “We have once again been a victim of sabotage in the power grid.”
He told the state-run VTV channel: At 4:40 this Friday morning local time, sabotage occurred in Venezuela’s electricity network, and this is a sabotage against the national electricity network, which affected almost the entire country and saw blackouts in 24 provinces of the country. We had a partial or complete power outage. Those involved are trying to connect the power.
This Venezuelan minister declared: No one can disrupt the stability and peace of the Venezuelan people.
Power outages are not uncommon in Venezuela, although they are usually more localized.
