Sweden and Lithuania, as two other countries close to Russia, resumed compulsory service for their subjects after the annexation of the Crimean Peninsula to Moscow in 2014.
Sprouds previously said in a TV program that the recruitment of women will not happen today and tomorrow, and the reason is the political and technical obstacles regarding this issue.
He explained in X: We have a task that we have to do until 2028, and that is: public debate and discussion, strengthening and improving infrastructure and allocating equipment for women.
