Telephone conversation between Biden and the Prime Minister of India
White House National Security Council spokesman John Kirby announced that US President Joe Biden had a phone call with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss his visit to Kiev.
According to RCO News Agency, John Kirby said in a News conference: The President had a conversation with Prime Minister Modi today. I can say that they talked about Ukraine and the Prime Minister’s visit to Kiev, and also had a conversation about various aspects of President Zelensky’s plan for peace.
During his seven-hour visit to Kyiv, the Indian Prime Minister addressed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi and said that India is ready to play an “active role” in establishing peace.
“If I can personally play a role in this, I will,” Modi said.
Indian news site “Scroll” reported: “Prime Minister Modi has asked President Zelensky to negotiate with President Vladimir Putin to find a solution to this crisis, and this issue can only be resolved through negotiation and diplomacy.”
