Zelensky: Russia’s attack caused a lot of damage to Ukraine’s energy facilities – Mehr news agency RCO News Agency

According to the Mehr News Agency, quoted by Sputnik, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called today’s attack by the Russian army on Kiev and other Ukrainian cities “combined” and one of the biggest attacks during the current war.

According to Zelensky, in this attack, the Russian army “fired more than 100 missiles and about 100 drones towards Ukraine.”

A few hours ago, the Kyiv Independent newspaper wrote that at the same time as the Russian missile and drone attack, explosions were heard in Kyiv and other cities throughout Ukraine.

According to this newspaper, air raid sirens have been activated almost all over Ukraine since 6 am.

The reporters of this newspaper have confirmed the sounds of the explosion in Kiev. These explosions were announced after 8:30 and 9:00 a.m., shortly after the announcement of the Ukrainian Air Force about the flight of the Russian MiG-31S fighter, which is used to fire the Kinzhal ballistic missile, over the capital of Ukraine.

Vitaliy Klitschko, mayor of Kyiv, said that electricity was cut in several areas of the city. A little later, he announced the problem of water supply in a part of this city. Igor Trekhov, the mayor of Kharkiv, also reported that an explosion was heard in this city.

Similar sounds have been heard in the cities of Odessa, Vinnytsia, Zaporizhia, Kremenchuk, Dnieper, Khmelnytskyi, Krupionitskyi, and Kryftrye. In the city of “Latsk” located in the northwest of Ukraine, a residential building was damaged.

The Ukrainian Air Force initially reported the activity of 11 bombers as well as several Russian “kamikaze” drones in different cities of Ukraine.
