Deployment of Belarusian armed forces and former members of Wagner on the border of Ukraine
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine announced that a large number of Belarusian armed forces and former personnel of the Wagner military group have been stationed on the Belarus-Ukraine border “under the pretext of military exercises”.

We call on the armed forces of Belarus to stop the unfriendly maneuvers and withdraw the troops from the Ukrainian border.
Alexander Lukashenko, the President of Belarus, said on August 18 (28 August) that this country has sent one third of the Belarusian army to the Ukrainian border due to the presence of more than 120,000 Ukrainian soldiers on the border.
