Chief of Zelensky’s office: We will probably invite Russia to the second Ukrainian peace conference
Andriy Yermak, the chief of staff of Volodymyr Zelenskyi, the President of Ukraine, once again mentioned the possibility of inviting the Russian representative to the second conference on Ukraine.
According to Isna, Yermak said in an interview with the India Today News agency: “We will have this plan and then we will be ready to hold the second summit. Yes, it will be possible to invite the representative of Russia and present this plan.”
He said that the plan should be developed by the groups created after the first conference on Ukrainian peace in Switzerland.
According to Sputnik, Zelensky previously said in an interview with French media that the whole world and even himself are looking for Russia’s participation in the next conference to resolve the situation in Ukraine, because otherwise nothing will be achieved.
In July, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin, commenting on the subject of a new summit on Ukraine, told Sputnik that Moscow does not accept ultimatums and has no intention of participating in such events.
Dmitry Medvedev, the deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council, also said in August that after Ukraine’s invasion of Russia’s Kursk region, there would be no talks with Kiev until the enemy was completely defeated.
