The airport of the city of “Volgograd” in Russia has temporarily banned the entry and exit of planes due to restrictions on the use of airspace that has been imposed following a drone attack in this area.
According to RCO News Agency, the spokesperson of the Russian Volgograd airport told Sputnik today (Thursday): Due to the restrictions imposed on the use of airspace in the region, the Volgograd airport temporarily does not accept planes and does not allow flights.
Russia’s Federal Aviation Administration also stated that the temporary restrictions were imposed at 1:49 a.m. Thursday (10:49 p.m. GMT Wednesday) to ensure the safety of civilian aircraft flights.
Earlier, “Andrei Bucharov”, the governor of Volgograd region, said that the Russian air defense systems repelled the drone attack in this region.
Meanwhile, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that air defense systems destroyed and intercepted 28 Ukrainian drones in 6 areas on Wednesday night, 13 of which were shot down over the Volgograd region.
