Rostov Governor Vasily Globov said air defense forces shot down a missile fired by Ukraine over the area, but the Russian Defense Ministry has not yet confirmed the incident in its daily statement.

This report indicates that the attack was carried out by units of the Ukrainian Navy. The only known weapon in the Ukrainian Navy’s arsenal with the range required for such a mission is claimed to be the Neptune missile.
