“Wingcube” (Wingcube) is an innovative idea in the world of camping equipment that, when closed, is placed in the form of a narrow cube on the trailer, so that it is easy to move even on narrow roads. But the main magic of this structure is revealed after parking, and this open cube increases more than three times in size. (newatlas)

Its side wings become two well-equipped bedrooms and the middle section provides a functional space for kitchen and dining in the heart of nature. This creative design, which is currently in the digital design stage, seeks to elevate the camping experience to a new level of comfort and simplicity.
The challenge of turning dreams into reality
The designer of this project is trying to complete the first real example by the end of 2026 by attracting investors. He had previously participated in startup competitions to fund construction, but he faced a strange challenge: the judges insisted on watching the built prototype in order to award the prize, while he needed the prize funding to build the exact same prototype.

However, the technical details are still being developed so that the design will soon step from the monitor screen to the real world.
Engineering structure and opening of wings
This cabin is actually a long and narrow box that is easily towed behind the car. At the campsite, the two side walls are lowered manually, which leads to the opening and automatic deployment of the tent. Just like car roof tents, this mechanism turns a small box into a tent that looks like a sliced mushroom in a few minutes. The floor of these rooms is completely away from the ground, which protects passengers from humidity, cold and insects.

- Panoramic bedrooms: The two side wings are equipped with large double beds that look more like home beds than regular sleeping bags. The presence of windows in all directions and large skylights on the ceiling provide passengers with the opportunity to watch the stars and enjoy the view of nature.
- Central welfare department: The middle space is designed so that the refrigerator and food shelves are fully accessible. A sliding table for four also extends from the hull to complete the outdoor dining area.
Technical specifications and price
The approximate weight of this chamber is estimated at 500 kg, which is very light for a structure with these facilities. The height of the roof inside the tents reaches about 190 cm, which allows people to stand comfortably in it. The designer of the project hopes to launch this product on the market by the end of 2027 at a price of around 20,000 euros (around 24,000 dollars).
