Following the publication of the news about memorial writing at the Gate of Nations of Persepolis, the public relations response of Persepolis World Heritage Base is as follows.
In the public relations message of Persepolis Global Complex, it is stated:
Unfortunately, the news of memorial writing at the Gate of Nations in Persepolis was true. This mnemonic writing was done on the vertical surface of the eastern door of the Gate of Nations with the text (11/19/1404 Poya Nadia) with dimensions of 20 x 15 cm.
Although these lines were immediately removed from the face of this historic monument by the experts of the restoration group, and the judicial pursuit of the punishment that caused it has begun, but this incident was another warning to emphasize the importance of increasing public awareness in the protection and safeguarding of the country’s historical monuments. Therefore, the World Heritage Site of Persepolis, while apologizing for its negligence in the occurrence of this incident, requests the tourists and visitors of the Persepolis World Heritage Complex to help the Persepolis World Heritage Site in preserving and maintaining this valuable work by following the rules of visiting historical monuments.
Vandalism (vandalism) is one of the destructive phenomena resulting from social abnormality, which has always been a victim of historical monuments. The world heritage complex of Persepolis has been the target of commemoration not in recent years, but since the distant past, and the Gate of Nations and Thatcher Palace have been the target of this phenomenon more than other parts of Persepolis.
