In the joint meeting, Anoushirvan Mohsenibandapi, Deputy Tourism Minister of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts and Maryam Jalali, Deputy Minister of Handicrafts of this Ministry, discussed the holding of a tourism and handicrafts exhibition with representatives of organizations, specialized general managers of two fields and private sector activists. At the end of this meeting, the parties, considering the necessity of providing appropriate executive and advertising platforms, reached the conclusion that the exhibition that was previously scheduled to be held on 23rd to 26th of Bahman 1404 at the Tehran International Exhibition, will be postponed to another date.
The participants in this meeting presented their views and suggestions about the way of holding the exhibition, the level of preparation of the private sector and the general conditions of the society, and emphasized the necessity of joint decision-making based on operational realities.
The representatives of the private sector announced in this meeting that the holding of the National Tourism and Handicrafts Exhibition requires the full preparation of the activists in this field and enough time for planning and advertising. According to them, the realization of the objectives of the exhibition, including the introduction of capacities, attracting specialized and general audiences and creating economic opportunities, requires the provision of necessary infrastructure and coordination.
In this framework, a part of trade union activists suggested that the time of holding the exhibition should be determined with a longer distance to provide the possibility of wider information and more effective participation of the participants.
On the other hand, the Deputy Ministers of Tourism and Handicrafts of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage also emphasized the importance of coordination with the private sector in holding national events. They announced that the purpose of holding the exhibition is to create a suitable platform for tourism and handicrafts activists and to effectively utilize the capacities of these two areas.
According to the statements made in this meeting, the exhibition should be held in such a way as to allow maximum participation and the realization of the anticipated goals, and decision-making in this field requires attention to executive considerations and the status of economic actors.
Finally, according to the set of issues raised and the evaluations made, the participants in the meeting came to the conclusion that the tourism and handicrafts exhibition will not be held in the predicted time frame (23 to 26 of Bahman 1404) and will be postponed to another time.
This decision was made with the agreement of the parties and with the aim of providing more opportunities for planning, advertising and preparing different parts of the exhibition.
Based on the summary of the meeting, it was decided to announce the new time of the tourism and handicrafts exhibition in the future after expert reviews and necessary arrangements. The Ministry of Cultural Heritage has announced that notification in this regard will be done through official channels.
