A noticeable decrease in temperature in Tehran; Snow and rain are coming

The General Department of Meteorology of Tehran Province issued a yellow warning about the activity of the rain system from tomorrow (Bahman 8) to Thursday (Bahman 9). According to this warning, in most areas of the province, especially the northern half, central areas and highlands, snow and rain, fog, blizzard, thunder and possible hail are expected in some hours. These conditions can cause the streets and roads to become slippery, especially in the mountain roads, reducing the visibility, raising the water level of the rivers, flooding the canals, and temporarily blocking some roads, especially the rural roads in the north of the province.

Also, from the evening of Bahman 8 to Saturday (Bahman 11), an increase in wind speed is predicted in all regions of the province, which will be strong to very strong in some hours, especially in the southern half and the western and northeastern regions, and there is a possibility of damage to temporary structures, breaking trees, falling rocks and temporarily reducing air quality.

Further, with the penetration of the cold air mass from the beginning of Thursday (Bahman 9) to the morning of Friday (Bahman 10), a noticeable decrease in temperature and frost will occur in the province; So that the temperature will drop between 7 and 11 degrees in the heights, 4 to 7 degrees in the northern half and 3 to 5 degrees in the southern half.
