This historical frame, which takes us to the heart of Kermanshah around the year 1312 (1933 AD), narrates a completely different atmosphere from Taqbostan today. In this photo, there is no information about inspection gates, electronic ticket sales and even separating ropes.
The photographer of this enduring work is Frederick G. Clapp, an American geologist and photographer. He, who had traveled to Iran with a sharp and exploratory eye, recorded a moment that seems like a dream or even breaking the law to us today.
In the image recorded by Kolb, we see people standing freely inside the arch in the clothes of that time. They have stepped right where Khosrow Parviz and the Sassanid kings cast their shadow centuries ago.
