This exhibition is a romantic and uncompromising look at the life and artistic world of Mohammad Reza Shajarian, and tells less-seen moments of Iran’s Khosrow through the eyes of legend Shajarian. Along with the photos, Ostad Shajarian’s instruments are also displayed to make the visual narrative of the exhibition more complete.
Shajarian’s innovative instruments are a collection of innovative and handmade instruments that were designed and made by Mohammad Reza Shajarian in collaboration with Afshin Rajabi. This collection includes instruments such as “Sarahi”, “Shah Sarahi”, “Sarahi Alto”, “Bamsarahi”, “Shahrashob”, “Shahrashob Alto”, “Bamsaz”, ”Shahnawaz”, “Shahbang”, “Charisma”, “Barbad”, “Thunder”, “Sagher”, “Sebu Soprano”, “Dell and Del”, “Dell and Del Alto”, “Dell and Del Soprano” and “Parhib”.
The artistic management of this exhibition is under the responsibility of Reza Mousavi and its curator is under the responsibility of Sahar Forozan. The “Face of Mehr” exhibition will be open until January 2, 1404 in Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art.
