The image of Damavand peak is tied with its magnificent white hat; A symbol of stability, cold and source of life. The autumn of 1404 is approaching its final days, while there is still no news of that eternal white dress.
The images recorded by “Mina Kamran” on the 5th of December present a bitter and disturbing truth in front of us. Damavand, this proud giant, is almost free of snow. The scattered rains of the past weeks have been so insignificant that only a thin layer of snow has been deposited on Damavand peak.

High mountains such as Damavand and Alborz are actually the natural reservoirs of our country. The snow that sits on this peak in autumn and winter gradually melts in spring and summer and feeds the vital arteries of rivers, springs and underground water tables. When this reservoir is empty in the fall, a serious alarm will sound for the next summer; An alarm for agriculture, drinking water and the entire ecosystem dependent on these water sources.
