Travel agencies were paralyzed; There is no motivation and means of travel

According to ISNA, “Amirpouyan Rafiishad”, the chairman of the board of directors of trade union of air travel and tourism offices of Tehran province, told ISNA about this situation:

Travel agencies do not have access to the iernational Iernet like others, somehow everything related to the travel service sector is locked and closed; Of course, the conditions were such that there was no luck for the trip. During this period, even mission and business trips have come under the spotlight, and the trips that are made are basically not recreational.

He coinued:

Access to iernational reservation systems has been completely cut off, the transfer of documes for issuing tickets and visas has been difficult. The coract of reservation companies has come under the spotlight. Ierruption of iernational iernet access has caused a lot of damage to online booking and travel agencies.

The head of the board of directors of trade association of air travel and tourism offices of Tehran province, explaining the statemes of some ages about the restriction of issuing tickets for foreign flights and only on two routes, Türkiye and Dubai, said:

Of course, domestic airlines still fly on other routes than Türkiye and the UAE, and they can be accessed through the national iernet; But due to the weakness of the national iernet, access to the reservation system of these airlines is limited and difficult. Reservation programs are usually heavy and it is difficult to eer these systems and working conditions have become almost difficult. Somehow, now not only is there no motivation for travel and travelers, but there is also no means of travel.

Rafiishad emphasized:

In the travel and transportation services sector, iernet access is an importa issue and its outage affects this industry like all economic sectors and businesses. This situation caused a lot of damage to the half-life body of tourism, which has been dealing with various crises for several years.

He meioned the efforts of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts to make the Iernet available inside the ministry and added:

Although the Ministry followed up on this issue which is commendable, it was not possible for everyone to use it. Only in Tehran, there are about 2,000 tourism service companies, and if even half of these numbers are working, the infrastructure is not responsible for all of them, and that idea is practically not feasible, and the Iernet should be made available to everyone.

Rafiishad suggested to the passengers whose flight duration or travel plans have been affected due to the iernet outage, to know the status of the flight or change the time of the flight or travel, it is best to directly coact the head offices of foreign airlines based in Iran or follow up through a travel agency.
