Pomodoro’s largest bronze ball in Iran, an art jewelry that shines again

Hamid Reza Soleimani, director of the Foundation’s Institute of Museums, said about the process of repairing and protecting the Pomodoru, one of the unique Italian artist’s unique balls:

Restoration has begun at the request of the Foundation’s Institute of Museums. Less than a month has passed since the institute asked for the Museum of Time to Conservation and Restoration. In preliminary studies, we needed to know what the ball is in the photo with photogrammetry and endoscopy.

She said.

The artist is known for bronze artwork in the world. His artistic philosophy is artistic that it has a bronze polished surface, which, in his view, is the level of perfection that is split and the secret inside it is the butter.

Dehkordi said that the material is made of bronze:

This work was installed in Eram Park until it was moved to the Museum of Time for the past 5 years due to its inadequate environmental conditions, and we are conducting its cleaning and restoration process. From the top of the effect and the cavity that exists, we were able to do endoscopy and examine inside the butter. We found that the internal structure of this sphere was not seriously damaged. The documentary has also been documented using thousands of photos and videos to examine if it is later made to make a change.

In some parts of this effect there are corrosion and green patina. This work is a contemporary work, and in the correspondence with the Pomodoro Foundation they thought that the object should be cleaned in a way that was shiny and polished as before.

The Group of Museums has sent the ball to the Pomodoro Foundation and has confirmed them. It is the largest Pomodoro ball in Iran. We have one in the Museum of Contemporary Art and the other with miniature dimensions is located in Niavaran Palace.
