On Friday, July 9, during the UNESCO official summit in Paris, the case of the pre -historic Khorramabad Valley, which narrates one of the oldest forms of human life in central Zagros, was registered with the consensus of the committee.
This work contains a collection of Paleolithic landscapes, including caves, Kalder, Lunar, Konji, Gilran, Grajanna Stone Refuge and Falak al -Falak Hill; Works that, with clear evidence of human life in 5, 5 BC, are recognized as an unparalleled treasure trove of pre -historics on a global scale.
The pre -historic sites of Khorramabad Valley, with a privileged position in Central Zagros, are one of the strategic paths of human migration from Africa to Asia and Europe; An area where natural diversity, sustainable water resources, suitable stones for instrumentation, temperate climate and natural stone shelter have made it one of the first human settlements in the middle of the Paleolithic era.
With this global registration, the number of Iranian cultural and natural monuments in the UNESCO World Heritage List has reached 5 titles.
It is noteworthy that the historic castle of Falak al -Falak and the broken bridge of Khorramabad were removed from this case and failed to register.
